Financial Literacy – Buying your first home

7 sessions of Financial know-how for first home buyers.

An end-to-end look at buying your first home.

By taking this 7-week course you can:

  • Learn ways to start saving your deposit or how to save more,
  • Become familiar with the Sorted calculators for KiwiSaver, mortgages and savings,
  • Take a closer look at your debts and how to pay these off faster,
  • Learn how mortgages work and how you can repay one,
  • Know what to look for when visiting Open Homes,
  • Understand the process of buying a home,
  • Gain an insight into an auction and buying by negotiation,
  • Have an opportunity to hear from experts and ask many questions.

This series of seven sessions will be held at The Featherston Community Centre.
