Learners will plan, design and construct individual sewing projects to gain basic sewing skills and confidence to use a sewing machine.

Beginners very welcome. Previous learners will continue to build on skills and knowledge.

Day: Monday Evenings 6pm – 9pm

Dates: Weekly – Starting Monday 30th September (excluding public holidays)

Purpose of the Course:  

  • To learn basic sewing skills and gain confidence to operate a sewing machine independently.
  • Be confident to plan, design and complete sewing project/s.  This might include: planning a project; drawing up ideas on paper, measuring quantities, listing resources and making approximate costings.
  • Learners will improve foundation literacy and numeracy skills and gain confidence problem solving.
  • Make something new out of something old.

Participants Must Provide: If you have your own sewing machine and instruction booklet, please let tutor know.
